On Oct. 4th, 2014, my eleventh book “Hansel & Gretel: A Fairy Tale with a Down Syndrome Twist” hit the market. The illustrations in this book are especially unique. They are done in needle-felt art by artist, Claudia Lenart. They basically look like wool paintings! Really neat stuff. The story is very special, too.
My initial children’s manuscripts were developed at George Brown College in Toronto, Canada. Now, the Dean of their continuing education program has named me a “student success story”! I’m currently featured online, in their full page newspaper ad and in their student course catalog. What a HUGE, HUGE honor!
Hooray! I’m profiled on Canada’s “Global National News”! Guess who is interviewed as well? My two sisters, and publisher. Check out the video to hear what we have to say 🙂
Here’s an interview I did for “What She Said”. Dan Parent from “Archie Comics” pops on airwaves, too! Yipee 🙂
I’m happy beyond words. Tonight, “The National”–CBC’s national news program covered my work with “Archie Comics” and my books! YIPEEEE!
This fun interview for CBC’s “The World This Weekend” stars both Dan Parent and me. The interview starts at the 21-minute mark. The promo before the interview starts at the 10-minute mark. Enjoy!!!
Guess what? CBC’s local evening newscast covered my books and work with “Archie Comics” to create the character, Harper! The story aired twice on the same day! Yay!
This article was written from a live radio interview I had with CBC’s Metro Morning:
