Cinderella’s stepsisters are spot-on identical, and joined at the hip like a wild tag team. They keep the beauty industry in business by caking on LOADS of makeup. Though, they’re a far cry from real glamour girls! Reality is; the word “bossy” should be their middle name. Their demands never stop when it comes to Cinderella. The twins have no concept of being respectful or kind. It’s always me, me, me when it comes to this duo. Unfortunately, they regard Cinderella as their working mule.
The twins are the plump apples of Stepmother’s eye. She lives to pamper them with every luxury she can afford. Money is of great importance to Stepmother. It’s her dream to see her girls married into rich homes. Whereas, Cinderella (her stepdaughter) is just a living burden left behind by her late husband. The only good thing is; Cinderella does just about all the housework. This saves Stepmother the fees she’d normally spend on a maid service. With a fatter pocketbook, she has more dough to spend on her precious twins. The only luxury Stepmother affords herself is a fancy gym membership.
Monique is a student fairy godmother. She attends Enchantment University. While Monique excels in most of her courses, you’ll often find her snoozing in Transportation & Magic class. She wants to get into the fairy godmother business because she likes the idea of helping people. The fact that she’s learnt how to float is awesome, too! Helping Cinderella is her first real-life assignment outside of school.
The Prince has world power under his fingertips. However, this hasn’t gone to his head. Rather, he believes in remaining humble and down-to-Earth. He also has strong family values. The Prince is especially attached to his father (the King.) It hurts him so much to see his parent getting more ill by the day. As an only child, he’s learnt to find comfort in the palace garden. It’s there that his mind escapes. It’s no wonder that’s where the Prince makes the most romantic connection of his life. Cinderella blows him away with her inner and outer beauty on the night of the ball. Watching her disappear at midnight; is one of the most devastating moments in his life. However, he never gives up hope on finding her. He keeps her lace glove in his pocket to remind him of this fact.
Cinderella spends her nights in a cold storage room, and her days in a damaged wheelchair. Her stepfamily takes advantage of her in every respect. She works around the clock for them. Cinderella can’t remember the last time she went out. Jewelry-making is her only pastime. Even that involves her twin stepsisters. After all, everything she creates is for them. It’s while she’s jewelry-making that she recalls happier times with her now deceased parents. The night of the ball changes her life for good. She meets the man of her dreams. She wears a to-die-for costume. She manages to magically fly away at midnight. It’s only afterwards, that this experience serves to open her eyes to the opportunities around her.
